Ohio Design and Web Development
One area that we offer as a service but haven’t touched on a lot here includes design services, both offline and online.
This refers to web design, graphic design, logos, brochures, menus, and anything you could think of that includes a design.
I work with a few different designers who are very well respected in their fields. They’ve won awards and offer some great tips to go along with their designs.
With that said, the design of various aspects of your company is very important. What goes into this part of the process?
Colors, font, message, uniqueness, simplicity, media, and quite a few factors determine how your design parlays to your customer base.
The ebook cover to the right is a design I had done. This blog is a design - simple, but I kept it that way for a reason.
The one thing you want to ensure is that you know what you want, but work with the designers to get what you need. Sometimes designers want to get too creative which is good and bad. Sometimes the client isn’t utilizing designs properly therefore just blending into the rest of the competition.
Also, be sure you aren’t paying an arm and a leg. A lot of times you’ll find better work from single contractors than you will large firms - talent is everywhere - it’s all the other overhead they have to pay for.
The other problem we see is that most companies stop at the design. You have to actually market your website or utilize your designs/packages to get the message out. A good design collecting dust won’t generate anymore sales.
Just like everything in terms of how to present your company a strategy is important.
I’m working to get my designers to provide some great content in terms of this topic. I just wanted to make you aware of the importance of design.
